Volunteering
Volunteers participate in many activities every Wednesday morning from 8.30am till 12pm. The Heritage Centre is a hive of activity during this time and these volunteers contribute hundreds of hours each year to the preservation of items, papers and machinery. They are here to update displays and the spaces they occupy for the better visitor experience. There is a great feeling of friendship for the common cause of helping Matamata district keeping its history for future generations to understand.
